Account deletion

You can delete your account directly in the app under Settings → Account → Delete account, or submit a request on our account deletion page. Deletion removes the account data SnapCoach controls, except for limited records we must retain for legal, security, or accounting obligations.

Deleting your SnapCoach account does not cancel an Apple App Store subscription. Manage or cancel it separately in Apple subscription settings.

Frequently asked questions

How does SnapCoach estimate calories?You type a description of what you ate. That text is sent to an AI model provided by OpenAI, which returns calorie, protein, and macro estimates. Estimates are approximate — they are a helpful starting point, not clinical measurements. SnapCoach v1 accepts typed meal descriptions and does not request camera, photo-library, or microphone access.

Is my meal data private?Your meal text is sent to the OpenAI API to generate an estimate. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train or improve its models unless the API customer opts in (SnapCoach has not), but it may be retained in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days, or longer where required by law. SnapCoach does not show ads, sell your personal data, or share meal entries with other users. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I cancel my subscription?Subscriptions are managed by the Apple App Store. Open Apple subscription settings to view, manage, or cancel your subscription under the store terms shown at purchase.

How do I restore a purchase after reinstalling?Open SnapCoach, go to Settings → Restore purchases. Sign in with the same account you used when you subscribed. If the issue persists, email us at support@pfcai.xyz.

Are the calorie estimates accurate?SnapCoach estimates are AI-generated from your typed descriptions. They can be inaccurate, especially for mixed dishes or restaurant meals. Use them as a daily tracking guide, not as a precise measurement. Consult a dietitian for clinical nutrition guidance.

Is SnapCoach suitable if I have a medical condition?SnapCoach is a general wellness app, not a medical tool. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have a history of disordered eating, consult a qualified healthcare professional before setting nutrition goals.

How do I delete my account and data?Go to Settings → Account → Delete account in the app, or visit our account deletion page to submit a deletion request by email.

What data does SnapCoach collect?We collect an account identifier; an optional display name; an email or name if supplied through Sign in with Apple; profile and goal inputs; typed meal descriptions; derived nutrition estimates; and subscription status.
